(Ft. Myers Beach to Charlotte Harbor)

This weekend and the first full week of July should offer anglers great opportunity to catch their fish of a lifetime. In ‘light’ of a new moon phase, the water levels will offer daytime access to most any area. I suggest getting out early before the sweltering heat, as the tides will favor the mornings until about July 6, when higher tides will peak in the afternoon and toward evening hours.

Inshore fishing will probably be better from July 1st thru July 5th on the high morning tides and cooler temperatures. However, July 6th thru July 10th is likely to produce better catches during the high afternoon and evening tides.

Last week was slow on the quarter moon phase as temperatures sweltered with little daytime water movement. Nonetheless, fish were caught, by changing locations, techniques and strategies. Pictured here is my friend Captain Dave Dunlap of Davy Dees Charters holding one of many grouper we caught on a fish finding adventure during the quarter moon phase.

Many memories are made and lots of fish are caught even during inclement (but not dangerous) conditions. Pictured here are Dr. John Kudlak and his lovely wife, Leah of Greenville, S.C., posing in the rain with fish. Their daughters, Natasha (13) and Alexandra (9) are real ‘storm’ troopers. They hung in with mom and dad for 5 hours during continuous, rainy conditions and are pictured with their fish. I have the pleasure of taking this adventuresome, pleasant family out every year and look forward to my next opportunity when they return to SW Florida for vacation. Good going Natasha and Alexandra. You are definitely my most staunch, ‘junior’ anglers!

The 4th of July weekend and following days promise ‘busy boating’. Safety is a must and courtesy to fellow boaters and fishermen will be appreciated.

This is Captain Terry Fisher of Fish Face Charters thanking all of those who have served and continue to serve in our military. Without their service, those who have not served, would not have the freedom they enjoy today. To my Marine Comrades:
SEMPER FI! To all Americans: GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Charter information may be obtained by calling me direct at 239-357-6829 or by emailing [email protected].
