The Bonita Springs Boat Show was a huge success thanks to the efforts of John and Kyle Good. The quality of the vendors and displays made every day of the show enjoyable with great crowds in attendance. 1st Mate Vicki and I always enjoy each event that the Marine Industries of SW Florida presents. Our thanks to all those in attendance to the show, our booth and the fishing seminars that I am privileged to host each year. Already looking forward to next year’s boat show.

The fishing has been very good all spring. The only negative comment from me as a fishing guide and Charter Captain, is that the winds have been stronger than we like for ultimate enjoyment of the water. It is not so bad for ‘inshore’ fishing, but has prevented a lot of anglers from opportunities to fish ‘offshore’.

None the less, when opportunity ‘knocks’, I do as much offshore as possible for the reef and pelagic species. Pictured are a couple of nice catches as a ‘Captain for Hire’ on Dr. Andy Athens 31 Pursuit, out of Punta Gorda in early April. He is pictured along with his son holding a nice Red Grouper. Trigger Fish, Red, Lane and Mangrove Snappers also joined the party during that Saturday venue. Great Job guys!

Inshore, the trout bite was exceptional the whole month of March and early April as pictured here. Redfish, Snook, Spanish Mackerels have rounded out the inshore bite. The Tarpon are here now and I am scheduling those trips for the month of May.

I am looking forward for the winds to subside for the remainder of April and hopefully the month of May. This is Captain Terry Fisher with Fish Face Charters, LLC wishing everyone tight lines. I am available on your vessel (by the hour) for safety, navigational, fishing instructions as well as fishing locations that your vessel can reach that will insure your every fishing adventure either ‘inshore or offshore is a success’.
