Springtime and early summer boating brings out the best in family and friends. Recently I had the pleasure of taking one of my daughters and her family out for fishing, fun and frolic while they visited North Captiva Island during their vacation.

In between boating, dolphin watching and catching fish, we enjoyed eating at a local restaurant on the water. Pictured here is the whole family during different stages of their trip. Granddaughter Avery Ingram (7), assisted by her mother, Teresa, holding her first Seatrout. Grandson, Landon (12), is pictured with one of his. Teresa and husband Kyle, each holding one of their many catches of the day, while I am pictured with Teresa, Avery and other granddaughter Addison (11) before lunch at Cabbage Key. They reside in St. Louis Missouri. A special day enjoyed by all, especially me!

My client and friend, Jo Ann Lutomski of Bokeelia was recently on board Fish Face II with her son, Micheal of the Washington, D. C. area. The weather was perfect as was the fishing and catching. One of my favorite junior anglers, Nikhil (8), is pictured with a Seatrout as is his mother Rupal. Not to be outdone, Nikhil’s dad Micheal is holding a big Spanish Mackerel. There was a lot of ‘trash’ talk during this charter and lots of Mangrove Snapper caught for dinner. This has become an annual event for this lovely family that I look forward to every year.

Granddaughters, Taylor and Ali Mason of St. Louis are pictured on Fish Face II during their recent stay with 1st Mate Vicki, 2nd Mate Moby Dick and I during their summer break before starting to college this fall. Taylor will be graduating next year and her sister Ali is starting her first year of college. We enjoyed boating, beaching and eating at numerous water restaurants during their stay. Looking forward to doing it again next summer. See you girls soon!

The waters are good and the fishing has been as well. Be sure and take time to enjoy the beautiful ‘sun-bleached’ beaches, waters and restaurants that SW Florida has to offer.
