These needs might include washing your boat, boat maintenance, entering and exiting the boat, and accessing different areas around your boat.<\/p>\n<p>If the dock does not wrap all the way around both side of the boat, washing the boat can become very difficult.\u00a0 Washing the hull of a boat while being on the boat can be rough on your back and sometimes impossible depending the what kind of hull you have.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/goboatingflorida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/walking-board.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-10043\" style=\"width: 300px;\" src=\"https:\/\/goboatingflorida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/walking-board.jpg\" alt=\"Walk Board\" width=\"700\" height=\"596\" srcset=\"https:\/\/goboatingflorida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/walking-board.jpg 700w, https:\/\/goboatingflorida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/walking-board-300x255.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a>Walk boards can be installed on your boat lift.\u00a0 A walk board is bolted to the cradles and allows you to gain access to the side of your boat.\u00a0 They are made from aluminum. There is an option to have a plastic decking that has a non-slip finish to it along with plenty of drainage to avoid water retention. A walk board can be installed on one or both sides depending on the width of your lift and the beam of your boat.\u00a0 If there is no room to fit a walk board on the cradles of your boat lift, brackets can be bolted to your pilings and the walk board installed on the outside of your pilings.\u00a0 This gives you the ability to wash the entire hull and engine.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/goboatingflorida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/stern-access-platform.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-10044\" style=\"width: 300px; margin-bottom: 30px;\" src=\"https:\/\/goboatingflorida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/stern-access-platform.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"525\" srcset=\"https:\/\/goboatingflorida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/stern-access-platform.jpg 700w, https:\/\/goboatingflorida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/stern-access-platform-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a>If you wish to gain access your engine, a stern access platform can be installed. This bolts to your cradle like a walk board but only extends off the back of the boat. This is a less expensive option and is useful when washing and accessing the front of the boat. It is a remote control you take with you in the boat.\u00a0 It allows you to press the button and lower or raise your lift.
