Except for the early part of the June 4th week, inshore fishing remained good due to high tides. The next 10 days should yield great results and opportunities for all summer species so long as the weather permits. The tide levels should be very high throughout, especially in light of summer rains. Water currents will be strong encouraging aggressive feeding.

Pictured below are some of my charter client’s recent catches during high tides with strong water movement:

Ben Martin (Editor-In-Chief of Coastal Angler Magazine), Indian Harbor Beach, Florida, came over to experience Snook and Redfish catches. He is holding one of several Redfish he caught along with a nice Snook. Ft. Myers Coastal Angler Franchisee, Nadeen Welch is pictured holding her Redfish.

George Seymour and his wife Julie of Monument, Colorado are each pictured with large Redfish. Their friends, Kirk and Kara are pictured together with a Redfish she caught. These clients spend their holiday on N. Captiva and it is always a blast to share time and make memories on the boat while they enjoy cocktails, stories and catching fish. Hopefully, I will see them again next season!

N. Captiva charter clients also included Joe and Michelle Mezzano of Middletown, New Jersey. Michelle is pictured with her first Redfish! Unfortunately, it was oversized at 31”. She did not care. She was elated with the fight and the size. Nice going Michelle! However, Joe saved the day when he landed their dinner, a 26” Redfish. Good going Joe!

The above, mentioned charter clients are the reason I do what I do. I enjoyed fishing with all of them and can hardly wait to do it again. Thanks for the memories!
